I don’t want to forget. I want to Praise HIM for so many things. Most especially for this past month of Blessings. That has some irony to it. First of all, there are an abundance of blessings right before us all every day. And the irony of it for me, is that Blessings Unlimited or Blessings as I sometimes call it, has been such a huge part of my life the last few months as I’ve taken a step of faith in to something I really didn’t know much about. And to say that talking labor, delivery, and breastfeeding are a bit more in my comfort zone–well, that would be a huge understatement!
I set a goal for myself after attending SUMMER JAM—Blessings Unlimited’s national conference. You know how conferences go. They are designed to motivate you and pump you up! Well, it definitely did the job for me. I was inspired. Most importantly by the heart of this company. A company they call “marketplace ministry”. A company that not only shares the love of Christ within themselves, but shares the love of Christ to others by spreading the gospel through beautiful products that people want to put in their homes. In more ways than one, I felt affirmed in the decision to pursue this mission of blessing others through Blessings Unlimited—a chance to combine my faith and my work.
I have a way of setting some very lofty goals. And I will admit, I wasn’t so sure it was possible. Everything sounded and looked so much easier and better while I was sitting surrounded by women at a conference. Listening to motivational speakers and praising God together. By gosh, I was on top of the world! I felt like I could do just about ANYTHING.
And then I got home. I opened up my planner. I looked at what I already had scheduled. I told Steve, I just don’t think there is anyway I can accomplish this goal. I even contacted my accountability partner from the conference and told her, “I’m just not sure this is going to work with what I have going in my life”. God had such greater plans! I was going to give it my best shot, but never really believed it would happen. But you know what? It did. And in fact, that goal was met AND exceeded.
First and foremost, I know that God was testing my faith. Testing me to see if I really did believe in what I was doing. If I really believed that when He is asking you to take His lead, that He will make it happen. God provided me with everything I needed at every turn. Even when I wasn’t searching.
And second of all, YOU made it happen. Hostess after hostess provided the finest hospitality. They dug deep and invited many. Many were introduced to Blessings Unlimited for the first time. And others were excited enough to schedule their own gatherings in the upcoming months. I can not even tell you how much joy that brings me.
In giving credit where credit is due—thank you, God. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, with all my being for bring Blessings Unlimited in to my life. I will continue to follow your lead with this as long as you want me to.
And secondly, giving blessings where blessings are -,-thanks to all who have blessed me in one way or another. Whether you have held gatherings in your home, are planning to hold a gathering, have purchased products from Blessings, have loved the products from Blessings, have encouraged me by being a blessing yourself, or whatever it is…I want to spread the Blessings. No pun intended here. One of our very most popular items, at least in the last 13 gatherings I’ve had, has been the Blessings Cardholder. I have one that I am just dying to give away! I have been blessed to see God move within us and to want us to be One with Him and that there are no boundries and sometimes you have to take a risk and the blessing will come in so many forms!!

This past year has probably been one of the most difficult I’ve ever endured…yet I feel closer to Him than I ever have. I realize now that this is God’s way of trying to get me to connect with Him more than what I had been. What a blessing this has been to me!!
Oh Sommer…I have been right where you are. And I will tell you, because you “got it” and started connecting more with God—look at where you’re at. Hard to understand when we’re in the midst of it, I know. But, really. This is awesome! Thank you for sharing!
