I guess I am going to jump on the bandwagon. Not that anybody particularly cares what my faves are at any particular moment. But someday, I might be excited to see what I was in to at this time of my life.
First off, this is no surprise. Are you ready for it?
Hello BOOT WEATHER!!! You’re back. It’s been a week since I first welcomed you–you left again–and now here you are. Oh my—is it wrong this makes me so happy?
The best fall candle ever. Pumpkin Sugared Doughnut from Bath & Body Works. And check it out HERE!! They are on sale! Honestly, out of all of the candles I have tried for fall, THIS is my fave. I am in love with it. My home feels cozy and smells cozy and happy comes from that. Right?
And fall baking. I don’t know about you, but I only do pumpkin in the fall and winter. What’s up with that? It’s like I can’t even buy it before Labor Day. And if it’s summer-like outside, it doesn’t taste as good? What in the world. So anyway, this is two-fold here as I am also loving the Mix and Match Mama blog and her easy recipes! In fact, I am linking up to her Friday Faves
I have made a number of her recipes and have been pinning them on Pinterest to try. Yesterday I was a cooking and baking maven and made her Hamburger Stroganoff and the EASY 3 ingredient Pumpkin Muffins:
Cake Mix of Choice (I used yellow-she suggests Spice)
Can of PUmpkin
1 Cup of Chocolate Chips
Mix together by hand and fill muffin cups. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
So easy!! And yummy! No eggs or oil–they are similar to the Weight Watchers Devil’s Food Cake Chocolate Muffins.
Perfect to freeze and perfect when you need just a bit of something sweet.
And this recipe, Halloween Oreo bars. These are SO yummy! And fun—I love using seasonal items and themes—did you know that?
And finally, before I get started for the day–a great cup of coffee (fresh roasted by Steve), my Jesus Calling devotions (can I tell you these speak to me everyday–like exactly what I need to hear?) and my Mary & Martha business which allows me to sit in my home, with a wonderful fall candle, sipping my coffee, and do work. That really doesn’t even feel like work at all.
What are YOUR favorites? Even if you pick just one. Want to link up? Click HERE. Sometimes, just the littlest things we take for granted, like a simple candle or a recipe can change your whole outlook on life for the day.
Today’s Jesus Calling verse is another new favorite…
Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. —- Psalm 37:3–6
