What’s up Wednesday

What’s up Wednesday

I debated whether to blog today, but this link up is just too much fun!  If you have a blog, join us!

What we’re eating this week…

  Afternoon snacks.

Dinner. French cuisine for this evening.

What I’m reminiscing about…

May Fete (a county all school’s day activity and celebration). This when my little buddy was the crown bearer as a kindergartner…oh my aching, aching heart. And these two still ride bike together to school and act pretty much the exact same.

What I’m loving…

 Our 144 hour date.

What we’ve been up to…

End of school year mayhem! Track, softball, concerts, and basketball–oh my!

What I’m dreading…

Workouts with this man who is far above my fitness level.

What I’m working on…

  Staying away from the iguanas!

What I’m excited about…

This amazing gift of relaxation from Mary & Martha.

What I’m reading…

The Nesting Place. Hands down the best book I’ve read in a very long time. Started it on the plane and finished it our first afternoon here. Loved it that much that I couldn’t quit! Can’t wait to share more about the inspiration I have been overcome with. And I’m already working on two different rooms in my home—in my head. Can’t wait to put this into place!!!

My next book. I’ve heard rave reviews!!

What I’m listening to…

Waves crashing and birds singing and a steady rock beat coming from the pool.

What I’m wearing…

Workout gear by morning, swimming suits by day, and dresses by night.

What I’m doing this weekend…

(See above–😉)

What I’m doing next month…

Finishing out the school year 2014-2015! And saying good bye to grades 10, 9, 6, and 4. 😥

What else is new…

I got lost today. Actually made a wrong turn on our workout route. One of the hazards of not being able to keep up with Steve. All is well. Steve freaked out but thankfully found me 40 minutes later before calling out a search and rescue. But that’s a story for another day!!!
Linking up with Mix and Match Mama and PTMT.

Tying up the April loose ends…

Seriously!! April is pretty much over. In fact, it’s over in a couple of days. Have you thought about your Mom, Mother, mommy this Mother’s Day??????

I have a few special moms in my life…

The April specials…

Ann Voskamp’s popular journal is $26 or just $10 with every $70 you spend! Such a beautiful gift.

And those napkins. My basket of happiness arrived last week.

   You have until April 30!!!!

Friday faves.

1.)  6th grade combined band concert–Kourtney has had to wait for these things her sisters have already done, which makes it all the sweeter when it’s her turn.

2.) I love this. For my kids in school, in sports, in all aspects of life for me. Love, love, love it.

3.)  The kitties have wonderful new homes!

Love the smiles these kitties bring.

4.)  College buddies at our kids’ track meets. So much fun.

5.) As frustrated as I get with phones and texting and overall addiction–I do have the best time when we group text like this…

Happy Friday!!

a mind preoccupied with planning…

“Walk with Me in holy trust, responding to My initiatives rather than trying to make things fit your plans. I died to set you free, and that includes freedom from compulsive planning. When your mind spins with a multitude of thoughts, you cannot hear My voice. A mind preoccupied with planning pays homage to the idol of control. Turn from this idolatry back to Me. Listen to Me and live abundantly”. ~~~devotions for today from Jesus Calling.

A compulsive planner.  It is what I am. I am convicted, yet once again. Today I should have read this prior to my “compulsive” texts in trying to figure out how we are going to get everywhere we need to go this weekend. I should have read this yesterday while trying to figure out next week’s itinerary for our kids. I need to read this tomorrow when my compulsive planning will no doubt rear it’s ugly head once again.

I’ve got to learn that He’s got this. He does. It’s going to be ok.

Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.—-Proverbs 19:21

He’ll be a good dad…’er cat farmer.

This boy woke up with a job to do. You see, due to popular request, our cats decided to have a couple more litters. (And the fact they were pregnant before surgery was scheduled…)

You see the pocket knife he was given for Christmas from his grandparents?  See the taped up finger?  Now see the pint sized baby kitty litter box…

And that would be my favorite kitty, Target. She fits perfectly in there!

Now, before I get flooded with messages, comments and phone calls begging at your chance for a Kaufman Kitty—let me introduce them to you.  Target. She’s the fave. She cuddles and purrs and loves humans more than the rest. I want to keep her.

Isn’t she a doll?

And then there were the grey ones. Kind of whiney, but still pretty cute. I think their names are TJ and BJ. Twins, you know.

And no litters are complete without a Tiger or two, right?

And bless this ones heart, it has some unique coloring.  I’m going out on a limb and saying both sets of litters have the same dad. He’s grey. And he really loves the the Kaufman Mamas that patrol Pack Park.

All kitties come litter box trained and with a bag of food!! Get yours today!! 😉

Friday faves.

Friday faves.

1.) Prom

Prom gives you just a little glimpse of what a wedding may be like. Little glimpse. Shopping for the dress, the shoes, the jewelry. Getting pretty doing hair, makeup, and nails. And the huge blessing it is to have grandma’s salon at our finger tips!

And the realization that there are very many more proms in our future. They are staring us right in the face!! Once again, Natalie, being the firstborn, will set the precedence of what we do for prom.  Sorry, grandma–you are going to have to own that salon and spa a few more years…😉

And friends at prom. So fun.

2.) Lilacs. Best smell ever.

3.) Steve has some new workout partners. I’m good with that.

4.) Dinner Dates with friends at new funky restaurants.  Taste and See in Oldtown is awesome!

And now for my absolute fave of the week…

5).  Steve pinning on the boutonierre.  I’m sure this was the most awkward thing ever for all involved.  But as a mom, I loved it.

a closer look~

a closer look~

How is your schedule looking over there?  A bit like this perhaps?

I’ve already had the realization of quickly approaching summer vacation…and as busy as the weeks are ahead, I know it’s going to fly.  Steve and I just got off the phone talking about plans in late July and early August.  What on earth?

In Mary & Martha the next few weeks, there are some wonderful things happening that I am excited to share!!  Some super great deals on our ever so loved reusable and disposable napkins.

Ideas for uses of these napkins and placemats—weddings and wedding receptions, graduations, and I have one customer who uses them for housewarming gifts.  What a super idea!

And the colors are perfect for the spring and summer with the orange and green.

And the royal blue is perfect with red plastic silverware for your 4th of July celebrations! (There we go again talking about summer–it’s basically here!).

And my all time favorite is the grey.  Classy and can be used in all seasons.  Plus it looks really awesome with our new Melamine dish line. Take a look!

And look how striking the orange is with the Mother’s Day gift of the year!! I’m talking about the Grace and Gratitude pitcher.  Perfect and in fact so perfect it sold out last year during this time of year.  But you’re in luck!!  $36 for the pitcher.  Fill with beautiful tulips and a roll of napkins?  Your mom and mother-in-law will love it. 😉

Now this is all happening here in the month of April.  And just in is the exciting hostess gift promotions for May.  You are going to want to host!  And the earlier the better…

Crazy good, right?  And here’s where May is coming in right now…get on the schedule!
